Frequently Asked Questions for make a christmas tree dress with working lights! No pattern for skirt and adapted Truly Victorian bodice. : r/sewing diy christmas tree fancy dress

What should I consider when choosing hosiery to wear with a skirt?

Check for rough shoe interiors that could catch delicate legwear. Consider whether the skirt opening reveals details while you walk.

Which product photos are most useful when evaluating a skirt online?

A side view helps explain volume and the way panels sit around the body. An image of the inside can clarify lining and seam construction.

What can I check if a skirt keeps rotating around my waist?

Notice whether rotation happens during walking or after sitting so you can identify a repeatable pattern. Consider the interaction with tights or other layers if the skirt catches more on one side.
